Happy new year all! We had a lovely but busy new year- not shooting but editing a mega set of about 6 weddings from December 2014!
But we have the sweetest couple to introduce to you…

Canan and Emrah celebrated their Engagement (Soz) a few weeks ago with their loved ones at home in a beautiful DIY setup by the lovely couple themselves.
As was told by the bride to be,  she put up 600 metres of fairy lights herself! and the groom to be made the furniture in the cake setup as well as the Keg that now functions as a BBQ!
We have experienced a soz once before when a family member married into a Turkish family. There is a coffee ceremony where the bride to be prepares coffee for the groom to be and puts whatever she can find in the kitchen and the test is to see if he can drink it! Check out the photos below to see what she puts in the coffee:)
Just a great down to earth couple with beautiful energy!

On a beautiful Melbourne spring day Ramadan and Hasebie celebrated their love the in their own unique way.
As part of Lebanese tradition from Ramadan’s family, there was a hele’a (getting the groom ready for the wedding) there was lots of laughter, food, a shaving ceremony and lots and lots of sweets! Meanwhile at Hasebie’s house where the party would be taking place the house was filled with love and food and family right from the beginning of the day. The house smelled wonderful with the aroma of all the Lebanese food and mouthwatering sweets and fruit.
Ramadan arrived with the traditional fanfare of drums, flute and bagpipes, carried in by his family to greet and pick up his bride! Instead of a reception the bride and groom opted for a home wedding and then went along to Fitzroy gardens for family photos and their first dance together as husband and wife.
So simple and elegant and carefree.
We are so excited to share some of the photos from their day, here is a Rumi quote we thought was a befitting description of their love…
The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you,
not knowing how blind that was
Lover’s don’t finally meet somewhere,
they’re in each other all along.
Rumi
Much love

Good Evening folks,

We have been hanging out to share this wonderful fairytale Melbourne wedding with you guys!
Zuhre and Oguzhan came to us as soon as they had gotten engaged and made sure they had us locked down for their date. We were very excited to be a very big part of their day. The day was jam packed with a host of festivities, (and a wonderful Henna leading up to which will be the subject of the next post) it was magical, wonderful, whimsical, romantic and all the pretty and beautiful words that come to mind about a Cinderella Wedding!

Here are some words from the bride and groom Zuhre and Oguzhan:

How we met:

We met through a friend and agreed to have coffee at Williamstown by the beach. We lost track of time and walked by the beach for an hour. It was almost like we had known each other for a decade, and felt very strongly about each other from that moment onwards.

The Proposal was beautiful! Oguzhan proposed on a Gondola in the Yarra River as the crown lights lit up he popped the question.

We wanted our wedding to be a fairytale. I wanted to be the princess and he was the prince. We had an amazing ceremony at the Werribee mansion, in our favorite spot. I wanted to come in with a Cinderella carriage, on a pink carpet, ‘yes pink’. With the view of a brilliant mansion, I said yes to the man of my dreams. Later we had dinner at our reception, with some traditional music and emotional speeches.

It was really important for us to find a venue that was a beautiful outdoor setting. I wanted it to have manicured gardens and history so Weribee Mansion was the perfect choice.

My most memorable moment was walking down the aisle with my dad, all my childhood memories came to my mind, I felt like I was now growing up.

This day was so special to us because we both knew our families were very proud of us. And we experienced the answer to our prayers which was finding each other.

I love babies! there I said it!  they are beautiful bundles of joy. The touch of their soft baby skin, the smell of their hair ( i remember johnsons and johnsons).

My good friends Sonia and Claudio recently welcomed their first baby into the world, Master Anthony, and they asked me to celebrate his 6 month mark with a relaxed family photoshoot at home. Anthony was giggly, wiggly and a marvelous model. He smiled lots and kicked around and generally just was his charming self.

We loved capturing the love in this family
