We were extremely delighted to work with Faiza Rehman from Masterchef 2013 who we collaborated with for one of her food shoots.
For anyone that doesn’t know Faiza, she is a proud Australian Muslim of Pakistani/Indian heritage. Although she is a Law/Science graduate, it was her love of food and cooking that took her into the world of MasterChef Australia. She was featured in series 5 of the hit tv show. Faiza’s passion for food is ingrained through her cultural influences and love of fusion cooking. Traditional recipes with a modern twist are her specialty.
We were even more lucky when after we styled and shot the food we got to sit down and eat it ! YUM

Enjoy xxx

A few months ago we were privileged to be a part of the Immigration Museum’s Project “Faith Fashion Fusion” Muslim Women’s Style in Australia Originally conceived and executed by Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, The Immigration Museum brought it to Melbourne and we were brought on board to photograph the Melbourne components of the profiled designers, movers and shakers and the Melbourne Street Style. Faith Fashion, Fusion will be running until June this year so please make the time to go and experience the exhibit. Hiya All,
We have not blogged an engagement shoot in some time! We had a wedding in New Zealand and along with that took a little break for ourselves. Here is a lovely shoot we just finshed of our cute couple Mara and Ferdi who are getting married tomorrow!
It was a day of beach, sun, fun, sand and rides. We are super excited to be documenting their wedding day! Enjoy!

Yarra Valley wedding- Introducing Mr and Mrs Paraskevas

All I can say is cute and sassy is what comes to mind when you meet Dee and Ari is definitely the man who has swept Dee off her feet!

They make a perfect couple and we had a wonderful time documenting their wedding at Stones of the Yarra Valley.

The weather was absolutely beautiful. The Yarra Valley just glistened with green and the golden sun set with grandeur.

Here is a little bit about our gorgeous couple written by our bride, Dee.

How They Met: We met one night through mutual friends. Neither one was looking for love but we found it that night!

The Proposal: Ari & I are not big on grand gestures. We are very low key, people. He came over to my house and surprised me with the ring as I was ready to go to sleep. He went down on both knees and it was an emotional night for both of us. No make up, no fancy location or tricks, nothing fancy, just us. It was really special.

The Big Day: We knew we wanted to have a formal, night time wedding. We also wanted to have it during summer so the leaves would be green and everyone would be in great spirits. We decided to do it in December when the weather would be just right, not too hot, not too cold. We were very lucky, on our wedding day, it was 26 degrees without a cloud in sight. Actually, to be honest, I can’t remember much about the wedding. Everything went by so fast! All the planning and all the stress, unfolded in a matter of what I felt like minutes! I don’t remember much, all I can remember is a feeling. I hope Ari felt it too, but I remember feeling really relaxed and happy. I was happy to see all my friends and family there, but mostly I felt really happy to be with Ari on the day. He looked so handsome and I felt so proud to be his wife.

It was really important for us to find a venue that … had a very elegant, romantic/ rustic and vintage feel. I wanted to feel like I can look back at the images 20 years from now and still be in love with it. I didn’t want anything with a modern twist. In addition, we always knew we wanted to have it at a special location, somewhere where it was further out of Melbourne. We knew that we would be having international guests, so we always wanted to pick a place that was more than just a normal wedding venue, more of a destination. We both love the Yarra Valley. We love how it is serene, quiet and peaceful. Ari and I looked through several wedding locations amongst the Yarra Valley, but Stones of the Yarra Valley was our perfect place.

Wedding Style: Black tie formal with a touch of vintage look. “James Bond meets Martha Stewart” Most Memorable Moment: The speeches. It meant a lot to both of us to hear what our loved ones had to say about us. They surprised us with the speeches, they were so honest and beautiful. We were so happy!

This day was so special to me because … Ari and I have been together a very long time. We have been through a lot, good times, bad, sad times. The wedding solidified and finalised our relationship in front of all our friends and family. It felt complete and FINAL!
