These are some of my favourite human beings on this earth!  My bestie Rere and her family, I have known them for as long as I can remember and we go way back to Aotearoa with some fun memories of growing up together. It was a pleasure for me to document the growth of their family with a portrait shoot whilst we were in Sydney a few moons ago. Wish they would move to MELBS!

We had the pleasure to photograph for a friend of ours who has started her catering business.
Below are some words from Sarah.

I am the founder of Sarah’s Samosas
I am passionate about food, flavours and samosas.

I wanted to get pictures of my samosas to promote the business and Zahrah
and Ahmad were professional and courteous throughout.

The pictures capture the feel of the subcontinent, golden brown crispness of samosas contrasting with the vibrant backdrop.
They captured the rich flavours of the samosas, luscious textures and sensual colours of the spices and mouth-watering chutneys.

The samosas are hand made with halal mince meat or veggies (100% vegan),
pan cooked with aromatic spices before being hand folded in spring roll pastry and sealed with flour paste.

They are sold frozen as handy snacks for the freezer that can be defrosted before being fried or baked into crisp golden brown parcels.

It was a fun shoot with lots of eating and chatting. They took note of my
preferences but also showed creativity and passion in styling shoot with the benefits of their expertise.

Jess +Andrew 21.09.13

Jess and Andrew’s day couldn’t have been more perfect, the rain came the day before and returned the day after but the wedding day was blessed with radiant sunshine and happiness.
When Jess called me to tell me she was getting married and wanted Ahmad and I to shoot her wedding, We couldn’t have been happier to document the wedding of a friend.

I met Jess in the first year of my Bach of Design/Art Education Degree where she was my lecturer. We developed a friendship then and have kept in touch since.

Their wedding was held in Tumut,NSW, Jess and Andrew’s home town with many guests in attendance from all around Australia.
The day began at a local Tumut motel where both Jess and Andrew got ready with their bridal party.
Jess surprised her Mother by hiring (what was) her mothers first car, a classic blue Holden. The ceremony was held in a local park by the river, decorated with paper cranes that the couple had made together followed by a DIY reception at the show ground.

The reception was full of love and was a collaborated family effort, many hours went into the beautiful table settings, floral arrangements and lights that decorated the hall. (Jess sourcing most of the bottles and flowers herself). The day was a happy and relaxed one and reflected Jess and Andrews love for each other.

So happy for you both and that we could be there on the day to capture you love on your wedding day.

A beautiful Melbourne Spring day to document the love between these two. When we first met Ann and Sern we took an instant liking to them, they have grace and style and are clearly besotted with each other.
They made it so simple for us to capture their love. We ventured to Melbourne University and to a park in Glen Iris. We are so excited to document their wedding day coming up in 2014.
